The Singapore Business Federation (SBF) has launched the Centre for the Future of Trade and Investment (CFOTI) to enhance global cross-border trade capabilities for Singapore and regional businesses.
Announced yesterday at the Future of Trade Forum, CFOTI will be a public-private partnership supported by various government and business entities. The initiative aims to create a community of trade and investment experts, providing bespoke advisory services, competency frameworks, and educational courses to help businesses navigate the complexities of global trade.
CFOTI will also facilitate regular public-private sector dialogues and develop trade leaders. This initiative addresses the challenges posed by global trade disruptions, such as US-China tensions, by leveraging Singapore’s trade agreements.
CFOTI's comprehensive approach positions it to significantly bolster the region's trade capabilities, fostering resilient and innovative business practices for the future.
