Having spent almost a decade in Singapore's Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI), which oversees Singapore’s economic policies and promotes bilateral trade and investment relations with other countries, Joses has more than 12 years of experience in public affairs and government relations under his belt.

 

He was posted to the Singapore Mission and Embassy in Brussels as First Secretary (economic) between 2017 and 2021, running the economic section of the embassy and promoting Singapore’s trade and economic relations with the EU, as well as the Benelux region (Belgium, Netherlands, and Luxembourg). 

 

He later took on the role of Country Director at a boutique consulting firm Vriens & Partners working with clients in the technology and healthcare sector on their public affairs and government relations work. He is currently a senior economic advisor for GOPA consultants, overseeing the EU’s foreign partnership instruments facility in Singapore. He is also the co-founder of ASEANcham, the premier chamber of commerce for ASEAN companies in Europe. 

 

Joses is a member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountant (ISCA), and is an MBA candidate at the Solvay Brussels School of Economics & Management. He has a double bachelor’s in business (Finance) and Accounting from the Singapore Management University.
